PHP BULLETIN for Linux® Customers

As you may know many systems within our shared hosting environments are running PHP4 and PHP5 simultaneously (PHP4 as a DSO and PHP5 as a CGI).

Keeping up to date with standards and the developer community, any new and recent deployments within our shared environment have consisted of PHP5 only as a DSO.

The purpose of the upcoming maintenance window is to generate consistency among builds running PHP5 only as a DSO, while PHP4 will no longer be supported, as any new feature releases will have a minimum version requirement of at least 5.2.0.
